The BA Art, Media and Design Degree in  Graphic Design aims to offer you a unique opportunity to develop your own signature style and visual language in the creation of a professional Graphic Design portfolio.

The course is aimed at students wanting to develop a career in various areas of the Graphic Design industry such as magazine design, publishing, branding and design agencies, art direction and advertising, website design, creating their own design studio, further study and research.

Our students also develop skills that can enable them to develop careers in a wide range of related industries such as Arts Administration, Education, Media and Multi Media Practice, research and much more.

We promote a creative and professionally focused environment for each student to ensure that the knowledge acquired contributes to an successful career within Graphic Design.

In this course you will explore advanced typography along with design projects based around corporate identity and advertising (for print and screen).

Live/ competition work is a part of the programme. The course culminates in a negotiated final major project and exhibition.

The aim of this course in Graphic Design is to enable you to develop conceptual, cultural, creative and practical skills and to encourage flexibility, knowledge, skills and motivation as a basis for future studies and or career development.

Entry requirements:

Along with your portfolio, the standard entry requirements** for this course are:

• 112 UCAS tariff points from accepted qualifications or
• Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art & Design (Level 3 or 4) or
• Distinction, Merit, Merit at BTEC Extended Diploma or
• Merit at UAL Extended Diploma or
• 112 UCAS tariff points from an accredited Access to Higher Education Diploma in appropriate subject
• Secondary School leaving Certificate e.g. Apolytirion

And four GCSE (or equivalent) passes at grade A*-C and/or grade 4-9 including English (or Functional Skills English/Key Skills Communication Level 2).

Other relevant and equivalent level 3 UK and international qualifications are considered on an individual basis, and we encourage students from diverse educational backgrounds apply.

If your first language is not English, you will need an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent.
